The University of Toledo Honors College, The Honors College Alumni Affiliate and The Sixty First Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi invite you to Medicine & Literature: A Symposium!
On Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. in the Driscoll Alumni Center Schmakel Room we welcome four physicians who have thought extensively about the relationships between literature and their profession will gather for an evening to discuss the topic and/or read from their own work.
Speakers will include:
-The University of Toledo President Dr. Lloyd Jacobs
-Dr. Blair Grubb, Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at The University of Toledo College of Medicine
-Dr. Amjad S. Hussain, Professor Emeritus of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and op-ed columnist for The Toledo Blade
-UT Honors College Alumni Dr. Laurie Rosenblatt, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at The Harvard Medical School and lecturer in poetry at the Harvard Extension College.
