| This program will provide immunization training and certification for licensed pharmacists in the state of Ohio Topic Immunization Training Program for Ohio Pharmacists

Learning Objectives
1. Review the immunologic principles important to vaccine development and administration.
2. Identify general adverse effects and contraindications associated with vaccination.
3. Describe the etiology, clinical presentation, and mode of transmission for each of the diseases associated with the vaccinations pharmacists are permitted to administer in Ohio.
4. Describe the patient population who should receive vaccination, recommended dosing and route of administration, appropriate storage, and any special considerations for each of the vaccinations pharmacists are able to administer in Ohio.
5. Identify and apply rules and laws governing pharmacist administration of immunizations in the state of Ohio
6. Identify and demonstrate principles of sterile technique, vaccine administration, proper disposal of needles and vaccines, and procedures for accidental needle sticks
Registration Fee
$175
Active UT College of Pharmacy preceptors, members of Toledo Academy of Pharmacy, and members of The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy Alumni Affiliate will receive a $50 discount on the registration fee.
