Toole has served as dean at UToledo since 2017. His previous professional experiences include teaching construction engineering, project management and engineering ethics to civil and environmental engineering students; serving as an expert witness in a multidisciplinary engineering firm; bidding out construction on hundreds of homes; and leading SEABEEs as they constructed dozens of facilities oversees. He is a professional engineer and a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers.
