“The Intersection of Mental Health and the Law in Vulnerable Populations” is presented by The Henry L. Hartman, MD Symposium on Law, Psychiatry, and Behavioral Sciences, The University of Toledo College of Medicine and the UToledo College of Law.
This event includes expert speakers from the legal field, criminal justice system, psychiatry and psychology.
History
This symposium is presented in memory of Henry L. Hartman, M.D. (1910-1980), whose interests included facilitating communication and understanding between mental health and legal practitioners. Dr. Hartman was a forensic psychiatrist in private practice and clinical professor of psychiatry at the Medical College of Ohio (now University of Toledo, Health Science Campus) from May 1967 until his death in August 1980.
