The University of Toledo College of Arts and Letters and the Rocket Marching Band Alumni Affiliate invites alumni and friends to a pre-concert social gathering on Wednesday, April 24.
The pre-concert social will take place from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar (3115 W Bancroft St, Toledo, OH 43606), followed by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble concert at 7 p.m. in Doermann Theatre.
The concert will celebrate spring with new music from living composers as well as music from contemporary influences. Selections include: “Origin” - Cait Nishimura, “Lux Aurumque” - Eric Whitacre, “Variations on a Shaker Melody” - Aaron Copland, “Belah Sun Woman” - Jodie Blackshaw, “Chasing Sunlight” - Cait Nishimura, and “A Bernstein Tribute” by Leonard Bernstein, adapted by Clare Grundman.
All food and beverages at the pre-concert social will be individually billed.

PARKING:
While the Symphonic Band concert is free to attend, all visitors to UToledo campuses are required to pay for parking, when traveling by car/personal vehicle.
The best parking options for the events are Area 13, located to the west of University Hall on Campus Rd or Area 1N, located to the east of University Hall at the intersection of Bancroft St. & N. Towerview Blvd.
There are also parking/drop-off areas in front of University Hall on Bancroft St. Parking in these areas is usually NOT free. Handicapped parking is also available in all campus lots but only for those vehicles displaying the proper permit.
